Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

Queens is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Queens is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

It was a great experience. Everyone there is so knowledgeable and patient especially with me being a woman they helped me understand what was going wrong with my car and it made sense. They didn’t try to make unnecessary repairs just to make money. I absolutely recommend this auto body shop. I will be returning for all my car needs.

First time bringing my car to this shop and I must say WOW, the crew are very welcoming, true experts in their craft, and prioritizes customers’ needs first. Checked in my 2023 CX5 for an evap leak, got it fixed in a day, and it felt new again. Reasonable prices with breakdown of repairs provided so that there are no surprises. Super reliable place to bring your car in for a fix!

I had just left work after doing a midnight shift when I noticed air was leaking from the valve portion of my tire. I called up Vick's, they told me they could get it done asap for me. The staff was extremely professional. Price was reasonable and they completed the job quick. I was back on the road in about 15 mins. Thanks for the great service!

This place is the TRUTH! Never before have I experienced a true 5 star rated business to actually exist and execute at the highest level! Vish, Fabian and Ralph were like the A-Team! They installed the parts in record time and treated you with respect, warmth and professionalism that was refreshing. The price was very reasonable but the way they made you feel was like family! They have a customer for life! Thank you for being complete gentleman in an industry that is riddled with opportunists who take advantage of people in vulnerable situations. Vick Auto Repair is a shining star and a standout in it's field. God bless you guys, please never change. I came because of your reviews and now I see why your customers are so supportive. 👍🏽❤️🔥

Wow! I never do reviews but I must for Vick’s. I came in today February 9 I called them this morning and I asked if I could come in for 2 rear stud replacements and immediately was treated with kindness, and I knew by the call, I was in great hands. I drove in and Ralph greeted me and took my car in. Fabian, was great and so well spoken. I was stressed and he reassured me that everything was going to be okay, he took me step by step on how everything was going and even though I was there for a little while I was so calm. They not only did a replacement with my stud but their was 3 other issues with my car and they were more than happy to help me.. I have to say this deserves more than just 5 stars. This is the best, and I mean the best auto shop I’ve been to. If you think they can’t fix something, they can! Thank you so much to Vick’s for accommodating me today and a special shoutout to Fabian and Ralph for being so sweet and generous.
